An update about COVID-19
At Suffolk Animal Hospital, it is our priority mission to keep people and their pets healthy. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread globally, we are taking appropriate precautions to address the outbreak by following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Our current approach and response to COVID-19 are outlined below:
We take great pride in the cleanliness of our clinic. Currently, we are even more vigilant in making sure the lobby and our exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned after each pet come through our doors. As a small clinic, we have the luxury of alternating between exam rooms to allow thorough cleaning and soaking “contact time” for everything to be clean for the next pet.
Suffolk Animal Hospital is currently curbside only.
If you need to pick up medications, call us when you arrive and we will gladly bring them out to you and you can pay from the vehicle. The same option exists for all of our regular appointments. Relax in your car while we take your pet inside and care for all of their needs with exams, tests, etc. Prefer to drop Fluffy off? Not a problem! We will gladly call when everything is done so that you can return and we will meet you back outside.
As always, Suffolk Animal Hospital is pleased to offer House Call appointments for you and your pet if you are unable or prefer not to venture out. Please call ahead to allow us plenty of time to schedule this.
We encourage you to use our online store https://suffolkah.vetsfirstchoice.com/ for medications or https://www.proplanvetdirect.com/pro-plan-veterinary-diets for pet food. Both stores will deliver straight to your front door and save you the trip out!
Given this is a rapidly changing environment, we will continue to monitor developments and update our course of action as new information becomes available. We know it is a stressful time for everyone, but please believe that your pets are safe and that you are safe around your pets. If you have any more questions, we’re here to help!
