Originally born in Maine, Dr. Miller has recently relocated to Suffolk from Miami, Florida. Her education was completed at Cornell University, New York College of Veterinary Medicine. At home, you can find her with her 3 Miami rescue kitties—Ashley, Madison, and Sabino.
Dr. Chriss Miller did some extra training in pathology following vet school graduation including 1 year at the University of Melbourne in Australia. She then completed an internship in small animal and exotics medicine and surgery at Colorado State University. Following this, she had a 25-year career as a zoo veterinarian at the Indianapolis Zoo and Zoo Miami where she was in charge of the medical care of everything from poison–dart frogs to African Elephants. For the past few years, she has worked in various private practices in South Florida, mostly with cats and dogs.
In practice, she loves interacting with clients and their pets as well as helping to strengthen the bond between cats and dogs and their humans. When not working in the clinic, she enjoys traveling, especially to natural areas for wildlife and bird watching. She also enjoys spending “enrichment” time with her cats at home.
