Laser therapy is the use of specific wavelengths of light to create a therapeutic effect. These effects include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation, and decreased inflammation.

Laser therapy is the use of specific wavelengths of light to create a therapeutic effect. These effects include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation, and decreased inflammation.

The laser emits photons, or packets of light energy, that penetrate deep into tissue without damaging it. These photons are absorbed within the mitochondria of the cells and induce a chemical change called photo-bio-modulation. This light energy then inspires the production of ATP in the cell. ATP is the fuel that cells need for repair and rejuvenation. Impaired or injured cells do not make this fuel at an optimal rate. Increased ATP production leads to healthier cells, healthier tissue, and healthier animals.

Laser therapy is frequently used in conjunction with other therapy forms, including pain medications, chiropractic adjustments, massage, and electrotherapy. It is also used following surgery and dental procedures.
